3. Не путайте таблетки (или капсулы) с однократной дозой. Заявленная доза в 300 мг витамина С может быть представлена в виде 8 таблеток. Более того, производитель может рекомендовать прием более одной однократной дозы ежедневно. Конечно, можно принимать на несколько капсул больше рекомендуемого, но если вы собираетесь принимать только половину, то нужно скорректировать рацион, чтобы получить недостающее количество вещества из пищи.
 
4. Как говорят, необходим баланс между эффектом и ценой. Мультивитамины нужно принимать регулярно и долго. Возможно, вам не захочется тратить деньги на что-то скорее модное, чем полезное.
 
5. Учитывайте репутацию производителя. Предтренировочные добавки или добавки для сна обладают значительным эффектом, но возможно, ничего подобного от приёма мультивитаминов вы не ощутите, даже через несколько месяцев. Это может означать, что состав не соответствует заявленному на этикетке, и проверить это будет сложно. Минимизировать риск можно, приобретая продукт известного производителя, долго присутствующего на рынке и более успешного.
 
Покупая мультивитамины, обращайте внимание на состав однократной дозы, число таблеток, которые нужно принимать, и количество приёмов в день. Не переплачивайте за сомнительные дополнительные компоненты и держитесь компаний с репутацией надёжного производителя.
 
Целевые добавки
 
Если у вас есть вероятность одного-двух нутрициональных дефицитов, следует приобрести отдельные добавки (большинство витаминов и минералов также продаются в индивидуальной форме), чем в виде мультивитаминов.
 
Узнайте, какие именно нутрициональные дефициты могут вызвать ваш образ жизни, заболевания или принимаемые лекарства и выполните диетарный самоанализ: в течение недели записывайте всё, что едите, затем проверьте нутрициональный состав пищи. Можно, конечно, провести медицинские анализы, но анализ на каждый микронутриент стоит недёшево, а анализы крови на разные микронутриенты (в том числе на железо) отличаются по уровню надёжности, так что диетарный самоанализ в любом случае следует провести.
 
Если обнаружится риск конкретного нутриционального дефицита, то лучше купить индивидуальную добавку, а не мультивитамины.
