Как и любой другой фрукт, лимон обладает уникальным фитохимическим профилем. Он также отличается своей кислотностью, высоким содержанием цитрата и низким содержанием сахара. Однако количество микроэлементов, которые вы получите из допустимого количества лимонного сока, невелико, а многочисленные утверждения о его пользе для здоровья основаны на исследованиях с применением высоких доз фитохимикалиев, которые в самих лимонах обнаруживаются лишь в небольших количествах.
Тем не менее, эти фитохимические вещества присутствуют в лимонах и вместе с фитохимическими веществами в других растительных продуктах делают лимоны ценным компонентом здоровых диет.
